A strikingly beautiful chocolate brown color, Jensen Ipé weathers with strength and elegance. Ipé is incredibly strong and dense, with very high wear durability. It resists splintering and checking, as well as rot, decay, insects, mold and even fire.

The rich chocolate-brown color of Ipé is completely natural. We apply no colored stains to the wood. Prior to the finishing process, we run the wood through a variable direction sander that gets the wood’s surface incredibly smooth. Lastly, we apply a light protective coating to shield the wood from the sun's harmful UV rays.
